Video and Animation Work
My digital media skills range from animation to video production, having worked in various roles around the camera including as editor, animator, actor, puppet designer, composer, and more!
My animation style varies based on the heart of the project, utilising a mix of hand-drawn elements, photography and video to create textured artworks that come alive. Animations made for the short film ‘The Space Between’ needed to highlight key moments of introspection, so I used dusty charcoal animations floating through inky waters. While ‘The Cavalry’ music video needed to tap into the playful way kids tell and share stories, so I used pencil drawings and photos of local scenery to create playful worlds filled with colour and motion.

The Book: Choose Your Own Terror - Interactive Film
Produced by D’Faces Of Youth Arts Inc (while I was Company Manager), this interactive film was designed and made by a brilliant team of young people. My work in this project included editing, composing and various roles on set. View on Youtube to play through the full film, making choices at the end of each scene through links in the description.
The Cavalry - Music Video
Using playful coloured pencil drawings and photography from local landscapes this video was produced for local kids music company, Musical Muscles. The mix of handmade art and digital animation help bring the story and dances to life!
Cold War Echoes - Projection Art
The animation explores the threat of nuclear war and the underlying fears surrounding life in the age of information. Produced using a range of hand-drawn and digital animation processes. 2020
The Neverending Painting - Collaborative Video Art
An animation piece for a gallery exhibition made for artist Heidi Karo in collaboration with young painter Jessica Dargle. This work was exhibited at Saubier House in 2017
The Cage - Short Film
Produced by D’Faces Of Youth Arts Inc (while I was Company Manager), this film used a range of practical effects designed by myself to bring the monster to life. Alongside the prop design, I also edited the film and directed some segments.
The Legend Of The Sapphire - Theatre Projection
This animation was used in the theatrical production of The Legend Of The Sapphire in 2021 by D’Faces. The video accompanied a part of the play where the narrator recited the history of a magical world.
